join us for a weekend of offerings celebrating the wide-ranging life and career of Victoria architect, furniture designer and heritage restorationist Peter Cotton (1918-78). Held in conjunction with the Victoria Design Festival, we will be presenting both an exhibit and a panel discussion about this seminal figure in our local design history.
On Sunday May 3rd, join Wentworth Villa Curator Ben Clinton-Baker and design historian Allan Collier for a discussion about Cotton’s fascinating life and work. The speakers will focus on different aspects of Cotton’s career, from his early days as a modernist furniture designer in Vancouver and Victoria to his pioneering work in restoring and preserving iconic buildings such as Craigflower Manor, Emily Carr House, and many others in Victoria.
